Founders: Vera Decano and Jireh Cuarto

1. What got you started with this brand? What was your inspiration? What is the idea/concept behind it?
2020 seemed like a dull and sad year to us, so we wanted to add life with colors. We are two close friends with different creative outlets–Jireh is really into arts and illustrations while Vera is fascinated with fashion, Tiktok, and dyeing. We mixed both of our passions together and somehow it all led up to Wrinkle. It started out as a simple quarantine past-time that we shared with friends and family. Surprisingly, it has become a well-received closet staple that a lot of people have grown fond of.
Wrinkle is built on the idea that you can wear and share good vibes with anyone, any time. Each piece we create is a collection of self-expression, stories, and passion.
We want people to feel the lightness and the hope that we ourselves feel when we wear the pieces–especially during these tough times. Tie-dye was such a fun trend back then and we wanted to channel that excitement again in this generation through Wrinkle.

2. What is your personal favorite product from your brand?
We recently have a new collection that we haven’t released yet; however, Jireh is in love with the black tie-dye hoodie that’s part of the collection. Another crowd favorite that is adored by one of the creators is the nude set–it really just gives you the comfiest vibes and yes, it is the perfect look for a chill day in or a quick grocery run.



3. What do you want people to experience with your brand/product(s)?
We want our customers to feel that there’s always a safe space to be fun, to be quirky, to be themselves, no matter the age, no matter the circumstance. Nothing is more beautiful than a person finally loving themselves fully. Most of the time, people forget that your attitude towards a situation can change everything. In fact, in the simplest form, your attitude is everything. We believe that “Good vibes can Save lives.” And we encourage everyone who wears our tie-dye pieces to share the good life.

4. What tips and advice can you give to entrepreneurs who are just starting out or are planning to start their own brand?
At the top of our heads, we’d have to say “Be yourself and bet on yourself.” Be firm on what you want to put out there in the world. Stick to your ideals, to your values and never be afraid to bet on yourself. People who never take risks are people who never move forward. When the opportunity arises, take it. Even help people along the way. We only get one life and we’re gonna make sure that we don’t end up regretting anything.

5. What’s next for your brand?
We would definitely love to have our physical store as well, or maybe even just a pop-up shop where we can host events and create fun activities for everyone. Also, we would like to give back to the community; we’re keen on making partnerships with organizations and platforms that would help us do that in the near future.

6. What other additional information and details would you like to share?
If you ever want to creatively collaborate on a piece, we’re very much open to the idea.
